Rumors denied: the singer and her comedian husband are not getting divorced
Katy Perry has dismissed the latest rumours of a split from her husband Russell Brand, insisting they’re not getting divorced. She even jokingly compared herself to All My Children character Erica Kane.
“First I’m pregnant & then I’m divorced. What am I All My Children?! Erica Kane… pshhh. If I had a dollar for every time”-Katy Perry tweeted on Wednesday (30.11.11).
Russell Brand also issued a joking denial of a split during a taping for Friday’s The Ellen DeGeneres Show. The comedian said he’s “really happily married”, adding it’s difficult to avoid Internet rumors “because a lot of the nude women Web sites I quite enjoy.”
Katy Perry and Russell Brand have been rumored to get divorced repeatedly, because they were rarely seen together since their October 2010 wedding. But the couple bonded last week by both getting tattoos. Katy got a smiling peppermint sweet on her ankle, while Russell inked the West Ham United symbol on his arm.
